Details and Thoughts of Technology Cooperation - From POC to Practice

Recently, I've been handling a cross-group cooperation project involving many technical and process details. Such large-scale collaborations are always both new and challenging for me. This time, we mainly focused on conducting Proof of Concept (POC) tests around a new system, with the meeting aimed at ensuring consistent understanding between both parties throughout the collaboration.

Delving into Details and Thoughts

At the beginning, there was extensive discussion about payment methods and contract processes. We ultimately decided to go with monthly payments and the option to notify each other of any termination of cooperation at any time. This arrangement provided greater flexibility and made the agreement more fair and reasonable.

Furthermore, we discussed the scope of use within the system and functional limitations. While theoretically, user numbers wouldn't be limited in the POC phase, if the group adopted it fully in the future, there would inevitably involve many detailed adjustments such as sub-company management and permission settings issues. This part requires deeper communication with the other party.

One particularly important topic was file management features—how to share and control data across different departments became a key point. Through testing, we found some limitations; for example, existing functionalities couldn't fully meet all needs yet. However, the other party stated they are developing new features to address these issues.

When discussing future plans, it was mentioned that there might be increased support for images and even integration of AI technology to improve user experience. Of course, everything is based on specific needs, so we need further confirmation of which functions are most urgent and necessary.

Reflections and Prospects

Throughout the meeting, I deeply felt how details in technological cooperation determine the final outcome, with every detail needing consensus from both parties. The process from POC to a real product is filled with challenges but also great achievement.

For me, this collaboration is not just an exchange of technology but also an opportunity for learning and growth. As the project continues to delve deeper, I believe we will find more innovative solutions that bring greater value to our company.
